WINDER - A major road reconstruction project is scheduled to begin Monday in downtown Winder.
The work will take place on State Route 11 from Stephens Street to Shenandoah Drive.
It will be a 24-hour-a-day project, with grading and other site
preparation taking place during the day and resurfacing overnight, according to Russell McMurry, District Engineer for the Gainesville state Department of Transportation office.
The work is expected to continue through the summer - and there will be some lane closures.
