Gainesville part of state nutrition, physical activity program

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville is one of six cities across Georgia participating in the state's Nutrition and Physical Activity Plan this month.

Through the Gainesville Parks & Recreation Department's Youth Summer Camp Program, the state Department of Human Resources will be providing materials and guidance about the role of physical activity and nutrition in creating a healthier lifestyle.

The Gainesville program will run for nine days over a 14-day period this month, starting Wednesday.
