ATLANTA - State environmental officials hope to clear the air about air pollution and its impact on health during a series of meetings in Gainesville and five other cities.<br>

EPD officials also plan to talk about new federal standards for air quality in metro Atlanta, Macon and Floyd and Murray counties. <br>
<br>
All meetings will include an open house with information tables staffed by EPD experts - and will begin at 6:30 p.m.<br>
<br>
The Gainesville meeting will be August 16 at the Georgia Mountains Center.<br>
<br>
Others will be held Aug. 11 in Cartersville, Aug. 25 in Rock Spring, Sept. 1 in Carrollton, Sept. 8 in Macon, and Sept. 15 in Covington.
