United Way plans mid-campaign report

GAINESVILLE - United Way of Hall County plans a first ever Mid-Campaign Event Friday at the Boys and Girls Club's new Teen Center.

At the 12:00 meeting, United Way will be announcing the top ten fund-raising companies thus far as well as how much of this year's $2,045,600 goal has been raised.

"Because of great sponsors such as Jacobs Media (parent company of AccessNorthGa.com), Best Buy, and Gainesville State College we are able to have the Varsity Wagon, a drawing for a Best Buy gift card, and a fun festive atmosphere," United Way's Robyn Shoaf said.

Though it is for coordinators of United Way company campaigns and United Way volunteers,it is expected to give the community a glimpse of how the campaign, which started in September, is faring.
