Rezoning requested for new condos

GAINESVILLE - Some new condos are in the works on the north side of Gainesville.

Brad Abernathy goes before the city's planning and appeals board March 14th seeking the rezoning of about four acres on Candler Street. Abernathy's plan for the site, in the eight- and nine-hundred blocks of the street - call for a 29-unit condominium complex.

His request is one of five items of new business on the planning group's agenda.
