ATLANTA - If Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson has his way, those people in northeast Georgia directly impacted by the TVA in one way or another may finally have representation on the TVA governing board.
The TVA delivers power to some 123,000 households in northeast Georgia and has three hydroelectric dams in that area, but no Georgian has ever been nominated to serve on the TVA governing board. The same is true of North Carolina and Virginia.
The Georgia dams form lakes Chatuge, Nottely and Blue Ridge.
