GAINESVILLE - At a National Day of Prayer breakfast, Gainesville-area civic and business leaders Thursday morning heard from the man who prays for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Kevin Hynes, chaplain of the University of Georgia football team urged his audience to put the Ten Commandments in their hearts not just on the wall at the courthouse.
"We don't even know the Commandments yet we want them on the wall; we need boldly place them in our hearts,we need to get them burned in our hearts," Hynes said.
Hynes, a reserve law officer and former Marine, also said while he is on the sidelines to support the players he is also there to lead themn to God and teach them that winning a game is temporal.
"Life ain't all about winning, you can learn from losing," he said.
