DAHLONEGA - Lumpkin County Commissioners continue working to fine tune the list of projects to be included in a proposed extension of a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).

The commission has pared the list from 26 possible projects to eleven - with a new courthouse topping the list.

The current SPLOST is scheduled to expire in 2008.

A referendum on extending it will be on the November General Election ballot, according to the Norton Native Intelligence Market Watch, a Gainesville-based publication that tracks economic development.
