Clarkesville girl fatally injured in Florida wreck

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A three-year-old from Habersham County has been fatally injured in a traffic accident in Florida.

Skyler Madison DeJarnette, the daughter of Don and Ashley DeJarnette of Clarkesville, died Tuesday night at a south Florida hospital.

According to the Palm Beach Post, Skyler was injured Monday in an accident on the Florida Turnpike.

The paper quotes the Florida Highway Patrol as saying the girl was in a child-restraint seat but that falling luggage inside the car during the collision likely caused her fatal injuries.
