GAINESVILLE - A new week - and we are told to expect a new round of unusually hot weather.
Sunday, for only the second time in twelve days, the temperature failed to reach 90 or more in Gainesville. But, forecasters say the 90s will return this week - running several degrees above average for the year.
Meanwhile, the Georgia Forestry Commission says the hot, dry weather is beginning to take its toll on the state's trees - and state DNR officials say the water in some north Georgia trout streams is too low and too warm to restock them. (See separate stories.)
