Police: Pickup driver at fault in Friday morning wreck

GAINESVILLE - A pickup ran a red light Friday morning causing a crash at a busy south Gainesville intersection - Dorsey Street and Pearl Nix Parkway.

Gainesville police spokeswoman Nina Harkins says the only injuries appeared to be minor - just "complaints" of injuries.

Sgt. Harkins says the pickup, which was on Dorsey, ran a red light and was struck by the 18-wheeler. Two lanes of Pearl Nix were closed for about 30 minutes after the 6:15 crash.
