DAWSONVILLE - The first stage of an upgrade of Dawsonville's sewage treatment plant is scheduled for completion the end of the month.
Gary Barr, Dawsonville Water and Sewer Superintendent, says the town's growing so fast that other projects are already in the pipeline.
Work on the current stage of expanding and upgrading the wastewater treatment plant began last September and will increase the capacity of the plant to 400,000 gallons per day from the current 120,000 gallons.
The entire project, at a cost of $5.3 million, is expected to be finished sometime this summer.
