By by Ken Stanford
UNDATED - On January 20th, the Georgia Water Council will be hosting meetings in Oakwood and Cumming dealing with water quality issues.

The council will present draft policy recommendations on water quality, and then take comments on policy options to be addressed by the 2008 Comprehensive Statewide Water Management Plan.

The above Plan was requested by Governor Perdue, and EPD, with oversight from the Water Council. They're in the process of developing the first Statewide Comprehensive Water Management Plan.

The Oakwood meeting, at Gainesville State College, gets underway at 9:30; the Cumming session, at the chamber of commerce office in Cumming, begins at 2:30.
