Early voting begins Monday

GAINESVILLE - Advance voting begins Monday for next Tuesday's elections across Georgia - including the one for a Gainesville school board post.

The only other contested races in the county are in Clermont, where five people are running for three seats on the city council, and in Flowery Branch, where there are two contested council races.

However, there will be a Tax Allocation District (TAD) question on the Braselton ballot. And, just across the county line, in Sugar Hill, voters will also be voting on a TAD as well as whether to create a city police department.

Early voting ends on Friday.
