BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Stan Doolittle threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns in one half, and seven different players scored Saturday as Gardner-Webb ran up a 66-0 victory over Savannah State.<br>

The Bulldogs (5-4) set five school records, including most points in a game. They also set records with 607 yards of offense, 366 yards rushing, nine touchdowns and largest margin of victory.<br>

Savannah State (1-8) absorbed its second-worst loss in school history, eclipsed only by a 98-0 beating by Bethune-Cookman in 1953.<br>

Among those scoring for Gardner-Webb was defensive end Brian Johnston, who lined up at tight end and caught a 3-yard scoring pass with 30 seconds left in the first quarter.<br>

Gardner-Webb held Savannah State to 79 yards of offense, 22 of those on the ground.
