East Hall's Navy ROTC cadets hold dress review

By Jerry Gunn Reporter
LULA - It was time again for Navy ROTC Dress parade at East Hall High School Friday morning.

Fifty-six cadets formed for parade and marched in review for Commander Barry Brockway, Area 12 ROTC manager from Jacksonville, Florida.
He oversees 54 Navy ROTC programs across the Southeast.

"We're not out here to recruit them into the armed services," Commander Brockway said. "Our biggest goal is to make sure they become good community leaders and good community citizens."

Brockway inspected the cadets and said they were well prepared and did a good job.

The ROTC program at East Hall High is in its 14th year.

Cadet Lieutenant Angie Quezada is in her third year and plans to become a Navy nurse.

"Everything I've learned has helped me not just in ROTC but in other areas of school," Quezada said."
