GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Public Works Director Adrian Niles told City Council Thursday that major repaving on a main city traffic artery and resulting traffic delays have arrived just in time for the holiday shopping season.
According to Niles repaving Jesse Jewell Parkway will be a 60-day project.
"They're milling up old asphalt and putting down new asphalt all the way from Downey Boulevard to McEver Road," Niles said.
Spokeswoman Teri Pope said beginning Friday night, DOT crews are going back to night time work between hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am. Meaning no more daytime closures of lane closing.
