Coat drive collects 300+ for the needy

GAINESVILLE - A Community Coat Drive has wrapped up with more than 300 coats collected for those in need in the Gainesville area.

The sponsor, Little-Davenport Funeral Home, plans to make it an annual event.

Most of the coats went to Good News At Noon but several were turned over to the Gainesville-Hall County Senior Center for less fortunate seniors, according to spokesman Stanley Hendrix.
