Christmas is One Language in memory this year

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Multicultural Committee held its 11th Annual Christmas is One Language Concert Sunday at the First United Methodist Church on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville.

Performers included St. John's Baptist Church, First United Methodist Handbell Choir, Soloists Enrique Montiel and Luz Piedad Lopez, the Fair Street Elementary School Choir, Gainesville High School Crimson Chorus, and Ballet Mexicano de Lupita Sosa.

This year's concert was dedicated to the memory of St. John's Baptist Church Choir Ministers of Music and Accompanists Marcus Stephens and Tim Cantrell; both died this year.

The Committee credited Stephens and Cantrell with the leadership that contributed to the continued success of the concert which has become a Christmas tradition in North Georgia.
