'The tax man cometh' - 2 days later this year

GAINESVILLE - April 15 is usually Tax Day, but not this year.

Because it falls on a Sunday and because Monday is a holiday in the District of Columbia, the filing deadline is Tuesday, April 17.

Many post offices, including the one on Green Street in Gainesville will be open extra hours on Tuesday - until midnight - to take your returns.
