School year winding down

ATLANTA - By the weekend, all public schools in Hall and surrounding counties will be out for the summer.

Last Friday was the final day for Gainesville schools and the Commerce and Jefferson systems.

Hall County schools end the school year this coming Friday as do all the other systems in the area, except for Gwinnett, where the final day is Wednesday, according to the state Department of Education Web site.
