CUMMING - A road resurfacing in Forsyth County that begins Monday is expected to take the rest of the year to complete.

The nearly $3 million, 15-mile project involves a section of Georgia Highway 9 between Cumming and Dahlonega, starting at Georgia Highway 369 in Cumming.

A pilot car will be used to guide traffic through the affected areas, according to state DOT officials.

For the first month or so, the work will take place during the day, 8:30 'til 4:30 weekdays, except between 2:30 and 3:30.

After that, work will be done at night.
