UGA's Gibson released by Rams

ST. LOUIS - Former University of Georgia wide receiver Fred Gibson has been released by the St. Louis Rams.

According to the Rams' Web site, Gibson was one of eleven members of the team who were let go Friday, one day before NFL teams must reduce their rosters to the starting day 53.

Originally drafted by Pittsburgh in 2005, Gibson had been picked up by the Rams after being cut by the Atlanta Falcons July 28.
