GAINESVILLE - Election officials in Hall County are busy preparing for Super Tuesday, and have predicted that 30 percent of registered voters will cast ballots.
There are 77,662 eligible voters in Hall County.
Interim Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee-Hunter said there were 74,000 eligible voters in 2006.
For Tuesday's presidential preference primary there will be 39 different polling locations, two of which have changed.
The Chicopee precinct changed from Jones Elementary School to Chicopee Baptist Church, and the Flowery Branch Two precinct changed from Christian City Church to First Baptist Church of Flowery Branch.
The elections office headquarters has also moved, from 275 Dawsonville Highway to 2285 Browns Bridge Road.
In the 2004 general election, Sosebee-Hunter said there was a 27.5 percent voter turnout. She expects more for this year's election because of its significance.
"It's just historical," she said. "The fact that there is an African American on the ballot, as well as a female."
"I think that brings out a lot of people," she said. "They just want to be a part of that historical event."
When you go to vote on Tuesday, don't forget to bring one of the acceptable forms of photo identification.
The following forms of photo ID will be accepted:
Any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, including a free Voter ID Card issued by your county registrar's office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)
A Georgia Driver's License, even if expired
Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state
Valid U.S. passport ID
Valid U.S. military photo ID
Valid tribal photo ID
If you do not have one of these forms of photo identification, a Georgia Voter Identification Card is available free of charge at your county registrar's office or any Department of Driver Services Office.
