GHCC showcases new business at the Mountains Center

By Jerry Gunn Reporter
GAINESVILLE - The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase got underway Thursday at the Georgia Mountains Center, and at least one very well known personality showed up.

Elvis is not on Mars and, contrary to reports, he's not walking on the moon. He was at the Showcase.

Terry Young brings Elvis back every weekend at the new Harbor Lights, formerly the Lantern Inn, out on Browns Bridge Road, with a full buffet and a new show, featuring 'guess who.'

"Thank you, thank you very much," Young said, mustering his best Elvis voice. "What we're hoping to do is make people aware that we are there and they will come out and see us."

Eighty-three area businesses and non-profits put their best foot forward in the Mountains Center arena, including Elvis.

One of only seven Microsoft exhibit trucks touring the U.S was at the Showcase. Sorry, Bill Gates was not there, but his latest products were on display.
