Tennis: West Hall boys knock off AAAAA North Forsyth (4/1)

CUMMING - The West Hall boys tennis team swept the doubles to pull out a tough 3-2 win over Class AAAAA North Forsyth Tuesday.

The Raiders opened with wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles as Nick Christie beat Alan Clark 6-0, 6-0 and Austin McCollum rallied froma set down to beat the Spartans' Luis Flores 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4. West Hall salvaged one singles win at No. 3 when Tyler Burgamy beat Jonathan Leiberman 6-0, 7-5.

In doubles play the No. 1 team Derek Weatherly and Jimmy Kincaid knocked off Lucas Sweat and Devin Hosea 7-6, 6-2 while the No. 2 team of Ricky Vital and Kyle Weatherly whipped Derek Watson and Devin Saddler 6-1, 6-3 to clinch the match.

West Hall improved to 10-3 on the season with the win and will play host to St Francis Wednesday.
