ATLANTA - A Fulton County Superior Court judge has sentenced an Atlanta police officer to 4 1/2 years in prison for lying to investigators after a drug raid ended in the death of a 92-year-old woman.
Judge Michael Johnson also sentenced Arthur Tesler to six months of probation Thursday and ordered him to serve 450 hours of community service as a result of the death of Kathryn Johnston when narcotics officers burst into her northwest Atlanta home on Nov. 21, 2006 using a special ``no-knock'' warrant to search for drugs.
The 42-year-old Tesler was convicted Tuesday of making false statements.
