ATHENS -- The Georgia baseball team will try to advance to its third Collge World series in four years when in plays host N.C. State Sunday in the two teams' deciding Game 3 of a best-of-three Super Regional series at Foley Field.
The Bulldogs won game 11-4 on Friday night behind the pitching of Trevor Holder while the Wolfpack stayed alive with a 10-6 win Saturday.
Georgia (40-23-1) last went to the College World series in 2006 while N.C. State (42-21) is looking for its first CWS berth in 40 years.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:07 p.m. and neither team has announced who will start.
Former Chestatee High standout and Gainesville native Alex McRee has yet to pitch in the series for Georgia but could see action Sunday since it is a do-or-die situation for both teams.
