ATLANTA - It's a $12,000 fine for a Forsyth County plant charged with violating some state environmental regulations.
Scientific Games/Alpharetta - which prints a lot of the country's lottery tickets - has agreed to a consent order after being charged with failure to include emissions data in one report and failure to submit another.
There are a number of requirements it must meet as part of the settlement. Read about them on our Web site, accessnorthG-A.com
According to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), Scientific Games, as part of the settlement, must:
*Develop/implement procedures to comply with Permit reporting requirements;
*Calculate hazardous air pollutants monthly emissions from month/time they were discontinued;
*Implement corrective action plan to ensure HAP emissions are calculated on time each month; submit required HAP data left out of semiannual reports;
*Implement/submit corrective action plan to ensure good work practices, including minimizing time any entryway into permanent total enclosures is open;
*Designate appropriate person (in supervisory role) to conduct weekly inspections.
