Sheriff Cronic receives Rotary award

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Sheriff Steve Cronic has received the W. Lee Arrendale Award for Vocational Excellence from the Rotary Club of Gainesville.

The award recognizes individuals for their service to society through their profession.

David Burroughs, Hall County Magistrate Judge and Rotary member, presented the award to Cronic on Monday.

Sheriff Cronic is involved with a number of organizations dealing with family, children, domestic violence, etc., including the Edmondson Telford Center for Children, the Hall County Commission for Children and Families, the Northeastern Judicial Circuit's Domestic Violence Taskforce, the County and Municipal Probation Advisory Council and the States Board of Public Safety.
