Wife of slain Gainesville native arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The estranged wife of a slain Gainesville native has been jailed in Nashville, Tenn., but she is not facing murder charges.

A housekeeper found Jim Cannon's body in a bedroom closet in his Nashville home Monday morning.

Kelley Cannon is charged with violating a court order that she stay away from her children and her husband, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

Friends and police say the couple was in the middle of a bitter divorce.

The couple's three children were with Kelley Cannon at another location when police contacted her about her husband's death.
