GAINESVILLE - Gainesville held its own version of the "Pops" Thursday night with the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra at the Brenau University Amphitheater.
Once again as in years past, it was a sellout crowd of music lovers young and young at heart.
The traditional outdoor concert fest featured American patriotic music, including several renditions of "America the Beautiful."
The music ranged from West Side Story to the Liberty Bell March as the audience celebrated Independence Day eve.
Conductor Gregory Pritchard treated his audience to a variety of toe-tapping favorites.
