Bulldogs pull away in second half to beat Mill Creek

HOSCHTON -- North Gwinnett held Mill Creek to just three second half points in taking a 40-24 win in Region 7-AAAAA Friday night.

The game was tied 21-21 at halftime before the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half.

Mill Creek quarterback Ed Russ had a huge game for the Hawks rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and passing for another 120 yards on 12-of-31 attempts.

Zach Landis had five catches for 53 yards for Mill Creek.
