GAINESVILLE - Hall County School Board members picked up criticism and praise Monday night for passage the new seven period hybrid high school schedule that replaces block scheduling.
The criticism came from Hall County Educators Association president Steven Wang, who said the board would be cutting over $2-million in teacher payroll but spending over a $1-million for text books.
"The shift or elimination of 35 payroll slots is projected to save $2.5-million which is money that is going directly into our community," Wang said.â
