SOCIAL CIRCLE - Social Circle outscored Lakeview Academy 18-10 in the third quarter to blow open a close game and then sealed a 51-42 win at the foul line in the fourth quarter in Region 8-A action Friday night.
Lakeview (14-5, 12-2 in region) led 12-8 after the first quarter but was outscored 29-16 in the second and third quarters as the Lady redskins took control.
Social Circle hit 10-of-17 free throws in the final two minutes to preserve the win. lakeview had cut an 11-point deficit to just three points before fouling late in the game.
Rayanna Williams led Social Circle with 13 points. Maritza Heard added 10 for the Lady Redskins.
Maddie Haymore led Lakeview with 13 points. Megan Rochester had nine, Louisa Jacobs eight, and Molly Gay seven points for the Lady Lions.
