Georgia St. snuffs late rally, edges E. Michigan

YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN -- Dante Curry came off the bench to score a game-high 14 points, including a 3-pointer with 3:50 left that put Georgia State ahead for good, in a 63-58 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.

Ousman Krubally and Rashad Chase finished with 11 points each and Krubally and Joe Dukes shared game honors with nine rebounds for the Panthers (10-18).

The Eagles (4-23) rallied from a 29-18 halftime deficit to tie the game 50-50 on Brandon Bowdry's 3-pointer with 4:24 remaining. Georgia State answered with a 10-2 run over the next 3:02 and held on for the win.

Antonio Green had team highs with 13 points and seven rebounds for Eastern Michigan. L.J. Frazier and Zane Gay had 12 and 11 points, respectively.
