Resignation demand ignored in Flowery Branch

By Jerry Gunn Reporter
FLOWERY BRANCH - The demand for their resignations did not stop city council members from voting for additional inspection help Wednesday morning during the Flowery Branch City Council meeting.
That demand came from Councilman Chris Fetterman, opposed to the building inspector services contract from John Morris and Clearwater Properties.
Both he and Craig Lutz said in the current economy with construction down, the money could be better spent on other city services and a property tax break.
Lutz favored paying Morris an hourly rate under his previous contract at $18 an hour instead of $2800 a month.
