Body found near Buford wrapped in plastic

BUFORD - The body found in a wooded area off Woodward Mill Road between Buford and Suwanee Wednesday night is that a man and had been wrapped in plastic, according to Gwinnett police.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that an area resident entered into the woods to investigate a foul odor," Cpl. Davis Schiralli said. "A short distance from the roadway he discovered the decomposing body of an adult male partially wrapped in plastic. When investigators arrived, they decided to secure the scene and wait until morning, where the daylight would be more beneficial to properly process any potential evidentiary items."

Cpl. Schiralli said the man had been dead for more than a week. "The manner of death is under investigation. Currently, the circumstances surrounding this incident are unknown. The victimâ
