GAINESVILLE - An Auburn man was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court for threatening to blow up FBI buildings across the country.
Michael Robert DeJong, 24, was sentenced to serve 1 year in federal prison for using the internet to send a message to the FBI via the threat/complaint page of the agency's website. In addition to the 1 year sentence, DeJong will be on 3 years of supervised release, according to the sentence handed down by Judge William C. O'Kelley.
