Volleyball: Johnson spikes Pickens, Chestatee

GAINESVILLE - The Johnson girls volleyball team swept a pair matches Thursday at Chestatee.

The Lady Knights won a tough three-set match against Pickens 27-25, 19-25, 25-23 behind the play of Shelley Farley, who had eight digs and 12 assists. Caitlin Sloan had 10 kills and Mary Fiorentino five kills for Johnson.

In the second game, Johnson held off host Chestatee in two close games 25-22, 25-22.

Jenna Stone had four kills, Kellsie Brisbois four digs, and Shelley Farley six aces for the Lady Knights.
