GAINESVILLE - A northeast Georgia man will spend more than nine years in jail and then the rest of his life on supervised release for his part in a federal child pornography case.
Authorities said 49-year-old Charles R. Van Brackle of Rabun Gap was identified as a possible child pornography consumer when they linked him to investigations in Florida, Pennsylvania and Texas.
FBI agents found more than 1,000 pornographic images and videos of children when they seized Van Brackle's home computer.
He entered a guilty plea to federal charges in July.
