(Cleveland)- The White County Commissioners have made it official, they are going to build a new 160 bed jail facility including a unified law enforcement center.
The commissioners, at a meeting Tuesday, approved an increased budget amount for the facility from eight and a half million to nine million dollars, they then approved the architectural plan which calls for 160 bed jail with expansion options.
The commissioners then approved the sell of bonds for the construction with pay back of the bonds with SPLOST tax money and an option to pay off the bonds early if possible. Commission chairman Travis Turner said this is an important option for them because they donâ
