One child hospitalized in field trip wreck

BUFORD - One child was taken to the hospital after a chain reaction accident on I-85 near Highway 20 in Buford Friday morning. The injury was reported to be minor, although authorities could not provide specific information on the child or the nature of the injury.

Two other children complained of minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Gwinnett County authorities said three charter buses were taking 6th grade students from Greenville, S.C. to Atlanta on a field trip.

The students were tranferred to other buses and continued to their destination.
