Apalachee held off a late rally by Johnson to beat the Knights 7-6 Saturday in baseball action.
After the Knights cut the lead to 6-5 in the bottom of the 5th inning, Ryan Farmer came in to relieve starter A.J. Benefield and held Apalachee at just one more run.
Johnson battled back to score one more run in the 7th, but came up short of the tying run.
The Knights were led by Blake Stacey with two hits and two RBIs. Chris White and Trae Wilson added two hits each and Logan Pethel added a double and three RBI for Johnson. Fletcher Whiting also added a hit for the Knights.
Johnson next will travel to Rabun County on Monday.
