OAKWOOD -- This could be the week that makes or breaks the Johnson Knight baseball team with four straight games against teams considered favorites to make the playoffs in Region 7-AAA.
The Knights showed Wednesday night they intend to be a player in the postseason race too after pounding White County 14-10 at the Johnson Field.
The win keeps Johnson (9-6, 5-2 Region 7B-AAA) within two games of unbeaten Gainesville and Lambert with a huge road game to play against the Red Elephants on Friday at Ivey-Watson. The Knights then have games against West Forsyth (tied with Johnson in the region) on Monday and Creekview (first place in 7A-AAA) on Wednesday.
