GAINESVILLE - An increase in the number of Hall County census partipants means more federal dollars for community infrastructure and services.
According to Phillippa Lewis-Moss with the Hall County Complete Count Committee, Hall County's mail-in participation in the 2010 Census is 75 percent, a 3 percent increase over the 2000 Census. And some Hall County cities, such as Oakwood, showed even higher growth in participation; Oakwood's increase was 19 percent.
Lewis-Moss said the 3 percent increase should translate into millions of dollars in additional goverment funding for the county.
