Rabun murder victim identified

CLAYTON - A few more details have been released in a Wednesday murder in Rabun County.

Melissa Smith Taylor of Lakemont is being held at the Rabun County Detention Center in the death of her husband Jeremy Duncan Taylor, 29, of Toccoa.

Jeremy Taylor's body was found Wednesday night when officers were called to a domestic disturbance around 7:00 at a residence on Crow Creek Road in Rabun County.

Melissa Taylor, who has been charged with murder, is believed to have struck her husband with a vehicle and stabbed him multiple times.

The GBI is assisting with the investigation.
