One killed in White Co. accident

HELEN - Officials with the Georgia State Patrol have identified the victims of Sunday night's fatal accident in White County.

GSP Trooper G.R. Harper said the vehicle was traveling on Highway 75 North just south of the airstream camp when it crossed over the center line, went off the shoulder of the road and hit a tree on the passenger side.

"The driver was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, and the passenger was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident," he said.

The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Florence Zerbe of Lawrenceville. Officials said the driver, Jess Zerbe, was listed in stable condition at last check.

No one else was in the car at the time, and no charges have been filed.
