FORSYTH COUNTY - Forsyth County firefighters had to close a section of Hwy. 9 south of Cumming Tuesday morning when a pile of logs caught fire.
Forsyth Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said the logs had been burning since just before 5 a.m. and his crews closed the road between McFarland and Post Road, stretching their water lines across the highway.
Shivers said the logs were located at a business that makes mulch. He did not know what sparked the fire.
Hwy. 9 was reopened just after 7 a.m.
