Jury indicts Cornelia man in fatal White Co. crash

CLEVELAND - A White County Grand Jury has returned indictments against a 25-year-old Cornelia man in connection with a fatal accident on June 25.

The indictment against Brent Lamar Russum is in connection with the accident on Asbestos Road north of Cleveland that killed a William Lester Craig of Hiawasee.

Russum is charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree, as well as DUI, reckless driving, robbery by sudden snatching, and leaving the scene of an accident.

The grand jury returned true bills of indictment against four other people charged in connection with various other incidents in the county during their meeting this week.
